Role Responsibilities
Team leadership and development. The Accounts Receivable Manager hires, trains, coaches and develops the AR and collections team. This includes setting clear expectations, giving regular feedback, and handling discipline and terminations when needed. The role also builds and maintains written procedures so the team works the same way in every market.

Collections, evictions and legal oversight. This role owns the full collections process, from current-account outreach to terminated-ledger recovery. It oversees evictions from filing through court and sheriff setouts and ensures proper field execution. The AR Manager works directly with attorneys, process servers, virtual assistants, judges, court clerks and sheriff's offices in every market.

Operations and cross-department work. The AR Manager oversees rental application review (Findigs and background checks) and move-out dispositions, maintains strong vendor and internal team relationships, and partners closely with the Investor Relations and Inspections teams. Department KPIs are tracked and reported weekly and monthly.

Tenant communications. This role handles escalated tenant communications professionally and calmly and ensures every conversation, payment arrangement and notice is documented in AppFolio.

Requirements
  • 3+ years leading an AR or collections team with direct reports
  • Track record of building, training and developing employees
  • Proven de-escalation experience with tenants, debtors or other high-friction contacts
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Clear communication with employees, attorneys, tenants and vendors (in writing and in person)
  • Strong multitasking and organization skills
  • Comfortable traveling for court appearances and other related duties
  • College degree preferred; relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree
  • Experience with evictions, court filings or legal collections, a background in residential property management, and/or experience using AppFolio are strong pluses
Total Compensation
The compensation package for this role includes a base salary of $60,000-65,000 per year depending on experience, with potential for quarterly performance bonus (up to 20% over base) after six months in role. Quarterly bonus is based on department KPIs (AR and eviction percentage, average time in eviction, lease renewal and company profitability). We offer a comprehensive benefits package with insurance and PTO accrual beginning on the first day. We offer paid parental leave and 401K with employer contribution after 1 year of service as well as 8 paid holidays per year.
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Information (Completion is voluntary)

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

You are being given the opportunity to provide the following information in order to help us comply with federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action record keeping, reporting, and other legal requirements.

Completion of the form is entirely voluntary. Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

Form CC-305

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
